Case Studies

Real stumps, real yards

Every stump is a little different. These are jobs from around the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene area — what made each one tricky, and how it came out.

Note for Jeff — delete this box before launch. The three case studies below are empty templates. No customer names, locations, prices, or results were invented. Fill in each yellow marker with details from a real job, drop in the Wistia video and the before/after photos, then delete the markers. Get the customer's OK before naming their street or neighborhood.
Job 01

JOB TITLE — e.g. “Maple stump three feet off the foundation”

CITY / NEIGHBORHOOD  ·  MONTH, YEAR  ·  Stump Grinding

The Video

Before & After

Before
Backyard before stump grinding, dead grass patch with the stump remnant near the shed
After
Same backyard after the job, full green lawn grown in

TIP Shoot the after photo from the exact spot you shot the before. Matching angles is what sells it.

The Story

The Situation

FILL IN What the customer called about, how long the stump had sat there, and what they wanted the space back for.

The Challenge

FILL IN What made this one harder than average — how close it sat to the foundation, buried lines, rock in the roots.

What We Did

FILL IN Which machine you used, how you approached it, the depth you reached, and how you shielded the house.

The Result

FILL IN How the spot looked when you left, what the customer did with it, and total time on site.

Job 02

JOB TITLE — e.g. “Six stumps cleared for a new fence line”

CITY / NEIGHBORHOOD  ·  MONTH, YEAR  ·  Stump Removal & Cleanup

The Video

Wistia video — Job 02

Before & After

Before
Photo — all stumps in frame from the street
After
Photo — cleared, backfilled, graded fence line

TIP Shoot the after photo from the exact spot you shot the before. Matching angles is what sells it.

The Story

The Situation

FILL IN A multi-stump job works well here — it shows the per-stump savings you talk about on the services page.

The Challenge

FILL IN Volume of chips generated, staging the haul-off, and working around the existing fence or structures.

What We Did

FILL IN Order you worked the stumps in, how much material came out, and the backfill and grade-matching work.

The Result

FILL IN Ground ready for the fence crew, how many days it took, and what the customer said about the cleanup.

Job 03

JOB TITLE — e.g. “Backyard stump behind a 36-inch gate”

CITY / NEIGHBORHOOD  ·  MONTH, YEAR  ·  Stump Grinding

The Video

Wistia video — Job 03

Before & After

Before
Photo — the gate and access path, showing the tight spot
After
Photo — finished grind plus undamaged access path

TIP Shoot the after photo from the exact spot you shot the before. Matching angles is what sells it.

The Story

The Situation

FILL IN A tight-access job shows customers exactly why you ask about gate width before quoting.

The Challenge

FILL IN Getting equipment through the opening, protecting turf along the path in, and working in a confined space.

What We Did

FILL IN Smaller machine, plywood tracking, shielding around the fence and siding, and your cleanup approach.

The Result

FILL IN Finished result and — just as important — the condition you left the lawn and access path in.

For the Crew

What to capture on every job

Case studies only work if somebody grabs the footage. Quick list to keep in the truck — delete this section before launch if you'd rather it not be public.

Wide before shot

Whole work area from where the truck parks, showing the access path. Take it before anything moves.

Close-up with scale

Stump with a tape measure or a boot beside it, so the diameter reads honestly on camera.

Video of the grind

Thirty to sixty seconds of the wheel working is plenty. Horizontal, phone braced, and stay out of the debris path.

The complication

The fence, the gate, the sprinkler head, the rock. Whatever made the job hard is what makes the story worth telling.

Same-angle after shot

Stand exactly where you took the wide before shot. Matching angles is what makes a before/after land.

Finished grade close-up

Backfilled and leveled — especially on removal jobs, where the topsoil work is the whole selling point.
